I know way more computer geeks who have switched too the Mac than have switched away.

  1. On a complete side note, there’s a South African wine called ‘Ubuntu’. My brother gave a bottle to my dad, who is a big Linux fan. It tasted pretty good…

  2. The long ass piece written about this issue at Daring Fireball seemed to me to answer this whole issue pretty well. The reasons for these switches, or at least for one of the two, are important to these particular users but are nonissues for the vast majority of users. I mean, that’s how I summarized the article in my own head.

  3. I used to be a Mac fan/owner/preferrer and have since switched to the PC. I’m not sure if I could go back.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
