A painting of me

Signal vs. Noise adds adverts to its RSS feed. ⇒

   16 November 2004, mid-afternoon

The ads are about as long as the posts they are attached to; Beautiful.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. I don’t think to highly about this change.

  2. ‘Independent Web’ is dead.

But really, it was bound to happen.

  3. I think the Feedburner ads look decent enough but every post has it. In some cases the ads are ctually longer than the post summary. This is ofcourse in Bloglines. Haven’t checked how Kinja handles it.

I won’t mind it if it were full posts with ads. Now we get ads for summary, then on the site. They have got the whole process covered.

    Yeah, like you said. Beautiful.

  4. Also, particular to SvN, I always thought it was a means to promote effective usability guidelines, which is the hallmark of 37 signals. Now Jason says SvN is a cost. Funny, I always thought it was an investment.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
