A painting of me

Anyone else think that this guy who writes movie reviews at Torontoist hates movies? ⇒

   25 August 2006, early evening

Based on his last few reviews, he also hated: Lady in the Water; Bon Cop, Bad Cop; Conversations with Other Women; Miami Vice...

  1. That’s why I ignore all reviews now and formulate my own opinion by going to watch whatever the heck I want to watch. If I like a movie, then I like the movie. And I definately won’t be able to tell with %100 certainty unless I watch the entire movie from start to finish and can formulate a proper opinion.
That’s how you get to find the diamonds in the rough that you didn’t expect would be good, but, in fact are. And if the penalty for that benefit is watching a few movies I don’t enjoy here and there, then oh well.
If you don’t watch the horrible movies with the great movies, you never really know what a truely horrible movie is, and the great movies don’t really stand out of the crowd as much.

  2. This movie review posted on Defective Yeti is just amazing.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
