A painting of me

Bare Bones Software has released BBEdit 8.5. ⇒

   8 September 2006, lunch time

I used BBEdit for a very long time before switching to TextMate. It looks like they are cleaned up the UI with this release. One feature that looks great is "per-language display options," which is something I wish TextMate supported. Micheal Tsai has a good list of what all the new features mean/do. The educational price for BBEdit is $50, which seems pretty agressive to me. I wonder how many people have switched to TextMate?

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
