Everyone knows you can't be a high-profile right-wing nut job and not be a closeted homosexual. These sorts of things go hand in hand. The reason this scandal is so big is that Haggard is the mother of all Evangelical Christians. He and his church have close ties to the white house. (The church was written about in Harper's some time ago.) He is a big advocate against letting homosexual marry, and homosexuality in general. He also probably preaches about not cheating on your wife, it being a sin and all. Update: Ted Haggard Admits... Something. Update: So, Haggard apparently bought Meth, but didn't use it, and paid for massages, but didn't have any hot gay sex: Evangelist Admits Meth, Massage, No Sex.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
