A Sorting Algorithm Demo. ⇒

   16 November 2006, lunch time

I hadn't heard of Shear Sort before. In grade 12 computer science, one of our assignments was to write a program that would compare the speeds of various sorting algorithms. Mezan and I did this fairly quickly, and spent the rest of the time alloted for the assignment adding graphic embellishments to the program. This was a common theme for much of grade 12 computer science. (Drawing a graphs using Borland's graphics library, in DOS, will slow down a bubble sort a hell of a lot.)

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
