This is a whole other kind of depressing. I hope they can raise lots of money.

I guess this is sort of unrelated to this particular article, though in some ways its not. (and since more people read your blog than mine, I thought I would post my own request for assistance)
I wish people, who were healthy and eligible, would consider donating blood or even perhaps plasma. :) You don’t have to give away your hard earned cash, just a little bit of your time and an even smaller amount of blood; and we’ve got plenty of both. So why not make an appointment and save someone’s life?
You never know how much a little gesture like that means to a family. My mommy and daddy are both alive and well thanks to people who have made the small sacrifice.
