A painting of me

An interesting post on Ukrainian immigration to Canada. ⇒

   6 December 2006, early evening

Be warned, things start to fall apart at the end when we learn that "white Canadians are virtually shut out of the political process." I had no idea.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Sorta related – there was an article in the globe and mail today by tarek fatah about the brown vote abandoning Bob Rae.

He implies 45 tamil delegates all fled to kennedy/dion after, in a meeting with them, Rae said he wouldn’t remove the LTTE from the banned terrorist orgs list.

And something along the same lines happened with the sikh group re: khalistan/air india.

It’s online but part of their pay section. The globe really shoots itself in the foot like that.

  2. What a sheltered view of the world Desmond Jones must have that to be not white means one must be black.

The post itself was quite interesting, though.

  3. I think i’m going to refer to myself as non-White from now on. (!white)

I wish I read his article. We get the Globe at work, but I didn’t read through it yesterday. Anyway, since Jim Karygiannis was throwing his support behind Dion, why would the Tamil delegates even bother with Bob Rae at all? One would presume they’d follow whomever Karygiannis was backing since he’s one of the more vocal defenders of the LTTE within Canada.

  4. A !white t shirt would be awesome.

  5. I could also do white with a bar over it, for people that know their boolean math. Or white xor white.

  6. If I go by Desmond Jones definition of a non-white,I must be the whitest black person ever! Awesome!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
