A painting of me

"My mother used to stage photo layouts to send home to family so that they would know that we weren't starving over here in Canada." ⇒

The photos are awesome, so hopefully she finds more. (Also, girls apparently showed just as much leg -- if not more -- in the 70s as they do today.)

  1. a. “girls apparently showed just as much leg — if not more — in the 70s as they do today.” you get that by looking at 3 pictures of the same young girl who is “showing off leg”.. you need a bigger sample size.. :P

    b. I’m not sure if my parents would stage photos to be sent back home, but I remember that no one back home really believed we could find the right persian food ingredients here until my Grandparents came a few years ago.

  2. I think according to shima’s point (a) above, you are requested to find more pictures of girls showing their legs. I mean, that’s how I read it.

  3. That’s actually the first thing I thought when I read her comment too. I didn’t feel like getting yelled at though, so I decided to keep my thoughts to myself … TILL NOW!

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
