10 friends refuse to buy anything new for a year. ⇒

(Well, with a few obvious exceptions.) Seems like the sort of thing some of Shima's friends would be in to. Tyler was going to try and green up his life, but I'm not sure how far along he got with that project.
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
Funny you mention this, I’m suppose to join Brenda and Durga for a trip to the ValueVillage up at Victoria Park and Sheppard this week. I could see my friends/me doing that. Anyways, it’s not that hard to not buy anything new, specially when you are a student..

Also, here is an interesting article about a similiar topic I read the other day on the Toronto Star.
I really liked that ladies brown dress idea. I think I’ll do that one day.

Why wouldn’t you guys go to the Value Village in my neighbourhood. You need to support it. And yeah, buying used doesn’t seem too hard. You can even find video games and crap like that used fairly easily.

the value village where you live sucks. It gets pillaged by the hipsters. Suburbs value villages are where its at.
I buy 80% of my clothes used. Other things are a little more tricky, but i don’t think it’d be that hard…

I actually suggested they go to the one near your place too, but they said it’s too far! :(
We can go to that one!
