I second the fountain at the Eaton’s Centre. As an aside, we covered very similar experiments to what James Surowiecki did in one of my classes last term. Toronto definitely is not as legible as some other cities out there, but I have a feeling things are going to change! Maybe I’ll do my thesis on how to make Toronto more legible!! :o

I’d rather meat in Dundas Square at the southeast corner under the shade. The Toronto Eaton Centre isn’t open 24hours, but Dundas Square is welcome to people all day long.
But then it also depends on who you’re meeting I guess. That, and if there’s no way to contact the person I’m supposed to meet, I’m just going to go home instead of wasting my time lol.

I thought the CN Tower suggestion was pretty dumb as well, if only because it is so out of the way to get to as well. Kennedy Station is probably what I would have said was I still in high school, as my friends used to meet there all the time — on the bus level. I think meeting at Union is pretty problematic. It’s a huge station, and there aren’t too many spots that really stand out as a good place to wait for people.

Funny, I’ve always used the Eaton Centre fountain as a meeting place, unless it’s late at night, in which case the subway platforms tend to work fairly well.
