Scarberia, Scarlem, Scareborough? ⇒
12 January 2007, late morning
BlotTO talks about Scarborough. The opening paragraph made me chuckle. (They also used a photograph I took of the area my family lives in.)
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
I know at least a few people in various areas of law enforcement – they have all “hinted” that some of the worst criminals around live in the wealthier neighbourhoods. You just don’t hear about it because the wealthy like to perpetuate the myth that their neighbourhoods are better.

dude, i just started working in scarborough this monday and i love it. granted i used to work in the outer reaches of mississauga, but as far as suburbs go, scarborough is quite mature and confident. it’s also not crazy spread out like most of the ‘saug and brampton. i take back all the bad things i’ve said about it. and as far as crime goes, it’s been five days and i’ve yet to be carjacked.
