The answers are really informative.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Ram I would call the answers more “interesting” then informative. A straight forward question like this can by answered with your Econ 202 textbook.

Government debt is part of the function with inflation and foreign exchange rates. If there is an imbalance, one of those factors will shift back to equilibrium. The effect is on monetary and fiscal policy. We had the Dick man, he told us all we need to know!

The half baked answers on mefi have a “ring” of truth, but you’d certainly get a failing grade if you tried to use any of those answers are your reply to the short answer part of an Econ exam. (I did stop reading after 10, so maybe someone else made this point.)

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
