  1. Sounds like just a mac fanboy crying over something that goes against Apple. Then they don’t mind when Apple does the same thing vs other people that are using the ‘isomething’ type name or whatever. If you can’t get the name, tough, just spend more than 1 minute trying to come up with another word to follow the ‘i’, or better yet, use some creativity in naming a product that is supposed to be so ‘revolutionary’ that it might require a ‘revolutionary’ name.

Whether or not they are using the trademark or whatever means nothing. Tell that to all the people that get sued by patent holders that do nothing with the patents and sue infringers.

  2. I think Apple’s attempts at stifling the use of iANYTHING as a valid name are lame too. This is just also lame. Perhaps more lame since at least Apple has several popular products with the iSOMETHING name.

Don’t get me started on patent portfolio “companies”.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
