Michael Tsai's MacBook Pro sounds like it gives him as much trouble as Shima's iBook. ⇒

He offers advice on backing up your data -- advice Shima should really follow.

I had a heart attack when I realised my portfolio wasn’t on the external. I think I need to back up things every week on a CD. External devices aren’t as reliable.

You can’t fit that much stuff on a DVD or a CD though. I think hard drives are the way to go. Another good option is off-site online back up like what you can do with Amazon S3.

My portfolio is only 3Gs.. is that too big for a DVD? :s

A DVD is 4.7 gigs. So your portfolio would fit for now, but I imagine its just going to get bigger and bigger, not smaller. I should buy you SuperDuper or something so you can clone your hard drive to the external.

What if I promise to keep my portfolio 4.6Gs and never let it get bigger? :D
What is a superduper? :s
