The BBC has running commentary of the India vs Sri Lanka match today. ⇒
23 March 2007, mid-morning
I wish I took the day off to watch this game.
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
Sri Lanka was 255 for 6, with India chasing now. Vaas has already grabbed two wickets, 10 overs in. Hopefully Sri Lanka can keep it together.

Tendulkar is out; no runs. Holy Shit!

Rahul Dravid makes a half century. Valiant effort on his part. Still, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid all should have retired by now. Certainly they are great players, but I have no doubt there are young kids waiting to step up and become the next set of greats.

And Sri Lanka ends things, beating India by 69 runs. Damn.

this game was absolutely awesome to watch. India was bowling so well in the early overs, then when Silva came up they just started batting out of their minds. It was amazing. Then Sri Lanka takes the field and they were so quick to virtually every ball, saving at least 10 or 20 runs that would have been easy singles against other teams. And the bowling?! Mulalitharan, Malinga, Vaas, ridiculous!
I really enjoy being able to root for Sri Lanka in some world sport. It’s always so sad at the Olympics when we have like 4 athletes.

I wish I had skipped work to watch it. Looking at scores on cricinfo just isn’t the same.

save your days off for the super 8 or further. It looks like we’re in it for the long haul. Sooner or later I think we’ll go up against Australia and that’ll be a ridiculous match.
