  1. Did you catch him on “The Daily Show” the other night? It was a much more even-handed and dignified conversation that I’d expected.

  2. Really? Watching this clip didn’t convince me that he was any more evenhanded or dignified than I thought he was before. He’s an angry old man.

  3. Oh, no question about it. But bear in mind that the clip does draw from the most offensive portions of the interview. Watching the entire “difference of opinion,” as I think Stewart called it, was worthwhile.

  4. The entire interview with Bolton is still incredibly telling. And the closing comment about being judged on your performance and actions really shows how far beyond irony we are.

  5. Heh… I guess I should clarify that I had really low expectations – not just because of Bolton, but also because of the partisanship of Stewart’s audience.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
