In a very cool experiment, the Washington Post hired a famous violinist to busk for money to see if he'd be more successful then your average busker.

Seriously. It’s a cute idea that’s made all the more interesting by all the discussion that surrounds the event. It’s a surprisingly good story.

I haven’t watched the vid yet, but the article says he played a piece by Massenet. I really hope it was the Meditation.
actually, thinking about it now, it would have been heartbreaking (as a commuter) to have to walk right by such an awesome opportunity. Not everyone is as lucky as the guy who could spare 3 minutes.
