That part of the ROM was so ugly before. I think the new addition will be a nice change of pace. There is hardly any interesting architecture in Toronto.

I think it’s only fair to wait until the aluminum cladding is installed on the exterior before passing judgement. Once you see the reflection of a setting sun in the varied facets of the crystal, you may change your mind.
As a work in progress, I think the addition is pretty much an eye-sore, but I quite like some of Libeskind’s other designs. I really like the Frederick C. Hamilton Building at the Denver Art Museum.
