  1. I’ve been listening to and loving this album for months and had NO IDEA she was a white chick. Seriously, not a clue. I hadn’t seen a single performance, a picture, an album cover, anything. Holy crap.

  2. Yeah, I had the same feeling when I saw her album in HMV. There is a serious disconnect between what she looks like, and what she sounds like.

  3. Also, having watched a bunch of her videos on youtube, I have to say that she has atrocious hair and makeup. Really. I don’t get why anyone looks at that hair and thinks, Yep, just right. But damn, what a voice.
