Guiliani was quoted on “The Daily Show” as saying that if this is a one-issue campaign, then that issue is homeland security.
“And if this is a two-issue campaign,” Stewart responded, “I’m going to lose.”

I love this quote too: All the places that have government-run health care, it’s inferior to us.
Someone needs to tell Guiliani that:
- The US has lower quality health care than the rest of the developed World
- The US has more expensive health care than the rest of the developed World
- The US is the only developed country without universal health care.
I really don’t understand how Americans implicitly assume that US is equivalent to #1.

Politicians just say whatever they want: it just needs to sound good. If you repeat something again and again people start to believe it’s true. I’m pretty sure that’s a common way to disseminate propaganda.
