What is the Completely Fair Scheduler? ⇒
3 August 2007, early morning
I can't remember what sort of scheduler we implemented in the OS we wrote. And by We, I mean Ryan, since I'm pretty sure he wrote that part.
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
Nachos has a lame scheduler. We had to do some minor work to add more states to our threads (e.g. to handle suspended threads) as well as implementing thread priorities. There were also a few little tweaks for how we save/restore the address space, registers, etc. when swapping out processes. (I’m guessing you did that…I just have the final result, not the CVS history).
