I picked up an iPhone and bypassed the activation. Then when trying to bust the thing open to unlock it from AT&T, I got stumped… so now it’s back to Buffalo to return it!
Seriously though, as an iPod touch with a phone I’m tempted to keep it.

software hacks are going to be ‘officially’ available anyday, you don’t need to crack it open!
people are going to go gangbusters with data usage, and that will kill the honeymoon with the thing.
It’ll be interesting to see how Rogers positions (throttles?) ‘unlimited’ data once it officially launches in ‘the fall’.
I bought one in NYC, used it for a week or two and then sold it for a tidy profit. Looking forward to considering the 2nd gen as a replacement for my cellphone.
