Traders are pushing the loonie closer to par with the US dollar. ⇒

The dollar is sitting at 0.997 right now. Mezan IM'd me to let me know that it was 0.999 moments before. It is quite possible the dollar may hit parity with the US today. Update: The Canadian dollar hit parity with the US dollar today. It's took a little over 30 years to do it again.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
