  1. It seems to be a pretty inflammatory article with no real merit. Wordpress is open-source so the code is out there in the open, they’ve said what is being collected, and they’ve said that it can be turned off with third party plugins, or by the user taking the code out.

  2. one of the concerns was that it was sending your url. ya, cause google doesn’t already have that indexed to the wazoo. fucking idiots.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
