Is anyone really surprised? They’ve been saying this the whole time. It’s the damn media that makes people think otherwise. Damn you media!!!

You know, just the other day this missile landed in my backyard.

I wonder if the problem lies in the fact that Canada will only sign up for a missile defence system, while the US will only agree to a missile defense system.

Since when is Canada a target? Therefore, not a surprising choice by Mr Martin.

Canada is a target for all the crazies who aim for the US, but miss. :-(
Also, it’s not just a missile system, they are planning on weaponizing space too. (cf. 1967 Outer Space Treaty).

I thought only American missiles miss their targets.

I think our biggest concern should be the nuclear missiles that are bound to fall down from outer space. Or explode in atmosphere and rain down cosmic fire on us all. When that happens I will become a superhero.

You becoming a superhero concerns me far more deeply than the thought of a nuclear winter.

Well, if I’ve learnt anything from reading comic books, huge doses of radiation give you super powers. Though, empirical evidence suggests you may just get sick.
by ramanan on February 25 2005, 12:38 pm #
Maybe the sickness is from your cells breaking down to reform as supercells, but since humans are puny weaklings, they die after the first stage of the process. Maybe there is someone out there who is genetically predisposed to surviving through the process, and coming out a superhero.

Rishi – You mean roaches? Those bastards have been here forever and prolly will outlive us. That should qualify them as a superhero.
