hmm this reminds me of my beef with Serra, the restaurant that projects their logo onto the sidewalk on Bloor West near Spadina. Initially I thought it was quite cool, but then I started thinking about how unfair it is that an acquaintance of mine who owns a small mom-and-pop style restaurant at st. clair got fined because his lunch time A-frame menu was 3 inches too far into the sidewalk (apparently he gets to display ads 3 ft into the side walk away from his store).
I doubt that Serra pays anything for projecting their ads onto the sidewalk…does that mean anything that doesn’t physically block the sidewalk is fair game?

CBC is advertising Intelligence Season 2 with sidewalk stickers. It’s equally obnoxious, and probably illegal. I’ll post a photo tonight.

I first saw those on newspaper boxes a couple months ago. I guess they printed too many stickers.
