Need to watch this later. Apparently there is a scene where they show 4 university kids this photo and none of them have a clue what it it is. (Mind you, I suspect you could pick up 4 kids in Canada and get the same reaction.) This link was found via Ask.Mefi.

I wonder why this is? I’m skeptical about the idea that China has influenced it, if anything it’s more likely the result of our (the west) new focuses and diversions.

I’m guessing Tiananmen Square, 1989 without even looking at the photo…it’s easily one of the 10 most famous photos of all time.
“University kids” were born around 1989. Plus, the US does even need to look outside its own borders to find Human Rights problems to worry about.

Oh I wasn’t clear. The kids were University kids from China. That’s why I thought it was interesting.
