Did anyone catch the first episode? I did and I’m not sure how I felt about it. Alan Thicke is funny and it just drips with Canadian music. It could be good.

I’m going to download it now and see what the deal is. The book is pretty good, though a bit too surreal for my tastes. I liked the Gum Thief way more.

i PVRed the first episode, but haven’t watched it yet.
i don’t have the gum thief, but i do have all of his other books if you’re interested in swapping. you’d probably get a kick out of his coffee-table book, souvenir of canada.

Just watched the show; it’s not bad. I agree Alan Thicke is pretty funny. I think it works better as a sitcom then it does as a book.
