Shima could totally lay down some science in this thread.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. I feel like I had a post about my eyebrows and my eyebrow lady about a year ago.

First thing about your eyebrows or anything about your face, never get it waxed. Waxing anything on your face is the worst thing you could do. (Though, I have a Persian friend and she gets her eyebrows waxed… but I still don’t like the idea.)

First, find a good Persian lady that will THREAD your eyebrows…

It really depends on the individual person. Ram, I don’t go every month. I wish I could afford the time and the money my lady charges me (Hving nice eyebrows is a huge time/financial investment every Persian girl learns to deal with). I go every 6-8 weeks.

Since my lady moved to a nicer place she has someone else who does the threading so she can concentrate only on the eyebrows. so first the threading lady yells at me for not going often enough and then my eyebrow lady yells at me for touching my eyebrows.. Though she doesn’t yell as much any more.

She also never remembers me. Every single time I go, she asked me if I just got engaged. And I have to tell her that I didn’t get engaged to a nice WHITE boy… When I tell her I’m engaged to a nice Sri Lankan boy, the conversation just dies. I guess some times even Persian boys are higher up on the ladder for some people. It’s okay. I can live with that.

I should write a follow up post on my eyebrow lady. I feel like I have so much to say.. :o

  2. I was just about to say that threading is better. Too much waxing over the years will make the sensitive skin around the eyes start to sag. Unfortunately, the best ‘threader’ I’ve found so far charges $28. WTF?

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
