Say what?

  2. I don’t think islamism vs nationalism constitutes a civil war. Hamas vs. Fatah yeah, and as the article points out, the US is all about making sure Fatah doesn’t quit early.

  4. I wouldn’t characterize your assessment as being pretty close.

    Hamas = nationalist movement with religious bent.

    Fatah = nationalist movement with an autocratic/despotic bent.
