  1. that article sums up exactly why i love hillary and loathe obama.

“Clinton’s demographic…is people that have day jobs who can’t blog, bloviate, or otherwise slam Obama, or defend her.

i hate how people who were previously completely uninterested in US politics have developed serious obama crushes.

  2. Well, I think what Obama represents to a lot of those people is a departure from US politics as usual. Whether or not he would actually be one is a point of debate, but still.

  3. While the Presidential candidacy race in the US hasn’t managed to waver my consistently low interest in US politics, I will say this: of the two Democratic candidates, I support Obama for the same reason that I buy brown eggs – for boiling and devouring.

Wait, that didn’t come out right at all.

  4. Obama’s speaches are way more awesome. Clinton seems to be running a Republican campaign, while Obama seems to be running something completely different. The media loves Obama off, but it isn’t clear to me that this actually translates to votes. (Though it may if all anyone hears about is how awesome Obama is, and how well he is doing.) I’m not convinced either can beat the old White dude, but you never know.

    I still think America sucks.

  5. The thing of it is that a lot of the people who support Obama have a healthy distrust of the media that’s supposedly so instrumental in his success. So I don’t know how much one has to do with the other.

As for Clinton, yeah. The only thing progressive about her candidacy is that she’s a woman.

  6. I’m assuming it’s just “Hillary Clinton doesn’t do very well off the cuff.”

  7. Obama is more charismatic, but I thought that was a personality trait we should be wary of in a leader…?

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
