I didn’t realize you read FTrain. I’ve been following Paul Ford for years now, and FTrain has long been my favorite place on the Internet. He has basically had the site on hold for so long that Abraham Lincoln has been there looking back at me for weeks or maybe months, and it was sad this morning when I read of the death of TK.

Bloglines kept telling me I should like FTrain, so I subscribed to his feed. I thought the fact he had to throw his cat away like it was garbage was quite depressing.

Yeah but I mean… he tried to find other options and there weren’t any. I dunno. It’s something I’ve had to do before and it’s depressing. It’s just depressing no matter what. FTrain is killer. If you haven’t, I recommend you go back and read some of the older stuff, like what he has listed under Popularity Contest.

Oh no, that’s such a sad story.
I have a friend who gives her [orange] cat different names every once in a while too. I hope Pinball (the cat’s “default name”) doesn’t die any time soon. I don’t know what Stella would do. :s

Dah! His archives were numbing.
Funkaoshi is way more entertaining then FTrain. I’m actually kind of annoyed, since I usually like the tastes that preside around here, so I was looking forward to some good stuff. Bleh.

Oh his archives are incredible. You just have to figure out the navigation structure. Give it another try. FTrain took me a while to get used to, but it’s amazing once you’ve figured it out. He does a lot with the semantic web and stuff like that. He designed the harpers.org (I believe) website.
