A painting of me

Google in Tamil. ⇒

Their transliteration service actually works quite well. (At least, based on the fact it got my name right: ரமணன்.)

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

Comments

  1. What does my name look like in Tamil?

  2. You know what your name looks like in Tamil!?

  3. Krishna, of course I know what my name is in Tamil. I’m not ignorant. (Of course, that is the only word I can read in Tamil, but that’s another story.)

Shima, you need to ask my mom how to write your name, but I think this would be it: தீம.

  4. I can spell my name in Japanese…thats about it.

  5. I wonder if I can learn more Tamil than the three of you guys combined!

  6. You totally should! Then you can become a Tamil nationalist and demand a separate homeland for your people.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
