  2. It’s not just brown people, that’s true. But I will say that my experience is that a larger percentage of non-white families in the same socio-economic bracket engage in corporal punishment than white ones. That’s not to say that white families totally don’t or brown families totally do. But the balance is not even. (And again, anecdotally, the only friend I had growing up whose parents really beat the shit out of him was white.)

  3. I think it’s an old country thing. Like, people from basically anywhere except Western Europe and North America are probably more cool with beating their punk children.
