They shouldn't let computer companies apply for patents.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. They shouldn’t let computer companies apply for patents.

Are you being facetious or serious? If it’s the latter, I’d like to know more. Got links?

  2. Software patents are beyond stupid. A quick introduction on the subject was written by Stallman: Patent Absurdity. Stallamn also gave a talk on the subject which is a bit more in depth: Software patents – Obstacles to software development. Mind you, Stallman is a bit of an open-source Zealot. Another detailed look at software patents can be found in this essay: Software Patents: An Industry at Risk.

  3. Oh word, you meant software. Brap.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
