Did you not see the FF IV face plate? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

I was thinking about buying one as well. But, alas I am cheap, cheap, cheap and only like spending money on food and friends.

I had to force myself to go right home after work. I was so very close to going to the Eaton’s centre and picking one up. I stopped myself because I figure we are so close to Christmas, prices are bound to go down. The portable hand held market seems ripe for some competition. Sony and Nintendo seem to be sitting on their asses. Do either system have any games of note?

Link to the Past, Mario & Luigi and FF Tactics and Advance Wars are my current fave GBA games. I haven’t bought (or followed) the GBA in about a year or so, so I can’t say much for what’s new/hot.
I want a PSP for Lumines and We Love Katamari, but I haven’t been interested in anything else for it. Plus I don’t like the form factor (and battery life).

I only have Bomberman, the other Tatics game, and Final Fantasy 1&2 for my GBA. I enjoy them all, though I haven’t felt that compelled to play tatics again at all. Bomberman is super fun, but is better when you have someone to play with.
My brother has a PSP, and although he isn’t in the same city as me anymore, I still can’t bring myself to buy one. I hate owning the same DVDs as any of them. Does that make sense? The PSP has a nice screen, but I think it’s a bit too bulky.

I carry my PSP around all the time…in my “purse” though so I don’t notice the bulk. I only own Lumines for it (which is good but not quite the platform-definer that, say, Tetris for GB was) but all the homebrew stuff for it is nice. I worked through SNES Zelda and Mario World on it. I’ve still a queue of SNES and Genesis games to play.
you may or may not need to be careful of what firmware rev of PSP you get…anything greater than v1.5 can’t run homebrew. I’ve heard rumblings of exploits that allow you to downgrade your firmware rev (which they don’t normally allow you to do), but I don’t follow it because I have a 1.5.
