  2. You should really read all the links about his life. It was very interesting. That ‘drunk scene’ in the Karate Kid was pretty much all improvised by him, as was Miyagi’s entire back story. He apparently drew a lot of the inspiration from his time living in an interment camp, and seeing the Japanese men who had to march off to war while their families remained living in prison camps. I also didn't know he was nominated for best supporting actor for the role of Mr. Miyagi back in 1984. I should watch the film again.
