A painting of me

The Globe and Mail: Passport saved Canadian hostage. ⇒

   16 March 2006, early afternoon

"It's wonderful to have a Canadian passport because it changes people's minds. One of the guards kept asking me to say hello to Canada, so it does stand for something."

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. If Blair is going to keep hanging around with Bush, I should seriously consider getting a Canadian passport.

  2. I have a British passport as well (because they last 10 years as opposed to Canada’s 5) and my dad is always on my ass to get a Canadian one, but he really hates England, so I don’t pay much attention.

  3. say what? can you work in the EU? if so, whytf are you not working there?

  4. At the very least, you can use the short lines to get into the EU, right? That’s worth something.

  5. I thought you knew I was a British citizen? Yes, I have all the free Visas I want for most of Europe now. I guess I haven’t left to live there because I like Canada more. (I think my dad being a one-man hate-a-thon when it comes to the UK all these years has probably had some effect on me as well.)

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
