BBC: Bomb attack on Sri Lanka army HQ. ⇒

   25 April 2006, lunch time

The BBC doesn't seem to address why the LTTE would blow up an army base at this point in time. They haven't discussed the riots in Trinco in the article, though it comes up elsewhere on the site. Thankfully, Tamilnet doesn't pull any punches when it comes to discussing violence in Sri Lanka. We have: Singhala mobs stabbing old women to death, famers being hacked to death, burning shops, burning buses, etc, etc. I had actually discussed with Parthi this past Sunday how I found the lack of an LTTE response to the riots in Trinco strange.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

Comments

  1. The links you posted won’t load…. am I doing something wrong? Do I need a secret password to surf the internet?

  2. Yeah, the Tamilnet links load blank pages for me too.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
