NotAddicted talks about playing World of Warcraft with Role-players. ⇒

When you play single-player games, it is easy to get sucked into the story. It's harder with World of Warcraft since you need to deal with other players who want to run around yelling "LOL" and "NOOB" and what have you.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. I know a lot of you just skip articles with the words World of Warcraft in the title, but this one is fairly funny (so you should read it):

I guess the point I am trying to make is this: Whether you casually log on a few hours a week, Play more than you work a full time job, Role-play a Legolas Elvin Archer, or are a hardcore PVPer who snorts blow and has sex with Brazilian supermodels, you’re still a fucking nerd. We all are, there is no sense in trying to convince yourself otherwise because no matter how you play the game, trying to explain what you do in your free time to a non gamer will still make you sound like the biggest retard in the history of man kind. Leave the role-players alone, you’re really no better than they are.

  2. Did you guys all play Dungeons and Dragons? :P

  3. Didn’t everyone?

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
