If there is one industry that is at the forefront of technology its the porno industry. I don't think this will have the same effect as the industry choosing VHS over Beta, as there are lots of different ways to get porno now.

  1. There are certainly lots of ways to get it, but I still think that the companies will be choosing one format. Whether or not “one of my friends” chooses to download movies from the Internet, the DVD business will still exist and the porn companies are going to choose a format. I mean, the ripped porn that “one of my friends” downloads from BitTorrent has to come from somewhere.

  2. My point is that perhaps before more people were buying porno on VHS versus the number of people buying porno on DVD and now on HD-DVD, enough that it would have an effect on making one format win out over another. People can still get their porno without an HD-DVD player.
