Fossil watches are evil. ⇒
25 April 2007, early morning
Ryan's not to happy with his Fossil watch. (I wear a Storm watch, and find they provide good service for their watches.)
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
I own 3 fossil watches and I purchased 1 for my brother as well. I’ve never had a problem with any of them so I really can’t comment on the warranty service.
I have however taken them into the store to get a pin replaced and links reinserted with no trouble at all… And that post says nothing about him trying to contact fossil about this issue. Who’s to say they didn’t find some fault other than manufacturing for the problem.

They sent back an invoice that says: Description: Movement Repair Charges: [$] 18.50 and the Warranty says ...the watch movement, hands and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. – I think it clearly follows that the problem was a covered by the warranty. If Fossil thinks otherwise the onus is on them to explain why (i.e. as on the repair request I wrote [the watch] is under warranty – Or did I also need to include in the repair request a statement that I did not use my watch “abnormally”?! :-).
And that post says nothing about him trying to contact fossil about this issue.
Now I need to waste my time phoning and complaining. (Between the hours of 8 AM – 6 PM CST, Monday through Friday of course).
Fossil’s website does not provide any means of contacting them electronically (e.g. e-mail) and I have a job during the above hours. When I’m not busy at work, I will phone. (And provide an update then).
