I'm sure Chomsky would have included this story in Necessary Illusion had it come out a few years later. I was reading about Gary Webb today in a book Matt lent me, The Culture Struggle. I had no idea Webb killed himself.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text.
