I’m going to turn off comments for the night. Whoever is spamming me can go fuck themselves.

Update: I turned off commenting here at 11:06 PM, and got another piece of comment spam at 12:00 AM. Son of a bitch. So chances are there is a bot posting here. I’ll need to look into this more to see how the bot can post when comments are turned off. Comments are back on since turning them off isn’t a cure for comment spam.

  1. Wow! I was under the impression that TxP was immune to such bot attacks. Anyways this spammer has only eyes for you. A nihilistic bastard.

  2. I need to look into this more. There are several measures in place to make the process of spamming a TxP site a bit more difficult. Spammers work pretty hard though, so they may have figured out a way around the security measures in place. I haven’t gotten any spam since last night; we’ll see how long this lasts.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
